Loving Unity

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

I have recently purchased some stamps from Unity and I am so enjoying stamping with them. This stamp comes from a Kit of the Month which is great value as you get a large sheet of wonderful stamps. This came from the November 2014 kit and there are many more in this kit that I am itching to ink up. I am entering this into the Wednesday Challenge at SimonSays this week. Thanks for dropping by :)

MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge

Saturday, August 1, 2015

I have quite a few beautiful new stamps from MFT that are still waiting to be used. Oh to be able to just wake stamp drink coffee and stamp some more :) I think I could handle that for a day or two or possibly three even. I adore this stamp by Torico and the gorgeous rabbit is missing from the scene as I took it out with the intention of using and for the life of me I cannot find it!. Guess once I clean up I will come across it. Love this sketch and used some new pens to me that are being stocked at Kaiser Craft called Mepxy Brush Markers and I am really impressed with them. I brought a 12 set (along with a few singles) and the set was 80.00 Australian  which works out to about 6.60 roughly. They are refillable like the copics so given they are stocked at my local hangout I may have to  invest in a few more. Hope your weekend has been a good one as we draw close to Sunday evening here.

Be Inspired Class Card 2

Tuesday, July 28, 2015

I am so glad I took this class as it has inspired me to do techniques that I have admired but never tried for myself. Today I blended distress inks again this time on smooth cardstock over a beautiful embossed background stamp from MFT. Thanks for dropping by!

Be Inspired Classes

Monday, July 27, 2015

I have been taking the Be Inspired Classes with Nicole for the latest release from MFT and this lesson was about creating night sky backgrounds. This is a technique I had not yet tried and it was done onto the textured side of water colour paper. I have to say Nicole makes it look so easy and her blending is perfect, mine not so much but it was fun and I am going to keep making a few of these backgrounds, next I will try it on smooth card stock. Thanks for dropping by today!.

Viva la Verve Week 3

Sunday, July 19, 2015

Love this sketch and decided to make a Christmas card for this one as it would be awesome to make all my own this year instead of falling short and having to buy some :). I have used lovely Kaiser Craft Papers for this one that were released for Christmas two years ago but I hoard paper like Scrooge Mc Duck would hoard his money :). The stamp set used is Verve Pinecone Christmas I expect I will make a few cards with this awesome set this year. Thanks for dropping in, happy card making.
